Patricia Lemp is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who recently retired as Chief Clinical Officer of Westchester Jewish Community Services (WJCS) following a distinguished 35-year career with the organization. Her career encompassed both direct clinical practice and executive leadership, with a particular focus on advancing services for children, adults, and other vulnerable populations.
Ms. Lemp played a pivotal role in the development and expansion of WJCS’s Child Sexual Abuse Treatment Center, which has since evolved into the Trager Lemp Center for Trauma and Resilience. Throughout her career, she has developed extensive clinical expertise in the treatment of children and adults who have experienced sexual abuse and trauma. Her contributions to the field extend beyond clinical practice; she provided expert testimony regarding child sexual abuse in Bronx County Court and delivered public testimony on the subject to the United States Department of Justice. Her advocacy and expertise contributed to expanding the ability of therapists in New York State to provide professional testimony on behalf of children who have experienced sexual trauma. Ms. Lemp led the implementation of Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHC) at WJCS that enhanced already strong treatment options for people with behavioral health challenges and created a firm financial stability to the CCBHC sites.
Ms. Lemp is also an experienced trainer and consultant who has provided education and technical assistance to numerous police departments, social service agencies, child welfare organizations, and medical facilities regarding the dynamics, impact, and long-term consequences of child sexual abuse. Through this work, she has helped strengthen cross-system understanding and responses to children and families affected by trauma.
Her contributions to clinical practice and the social work profession have been widely recognized. In 2004, Ms. Lemp was honored as Social Worker of the Year by the Westchester Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers. She also received the Leonard Rohmer Award from WJCS in recognition of outstanding clinical service. The Trager Lemp Center for Trauma and Resilience was named in recognition of Ms. Lemp’s contributions to the field and those of WJCS’s former Chief Executive Officer, Alan Trager.
In December 2025, Ms. Lemp joined Empire State Forensics as a clinician specializing in support services for family members of justice involved individuals or those who have engaged in sexually harmful behavior. She offers virtual and in-person sessions from the Hartsdale location.
