Dr. Liebert joined Empire State Forensics in 2020 as a consultant and became the Assistant Clinical Director in 2023.  In this capacity, she specializes in conducting psychosexual risk evaluations based on empirically supported measures of risk and utilizing best practice guidelines regarding structured professional judgment.  She also co-leads a group for young adults struggling with emotional/ behavioral dysregulation and interpersonal difficulties.

Dr. Liebert received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology with specialty concentrations in both forensic psychology and Children and Families of Adversity and resilience from William James College in 2019.  Dr. Liebert has been trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and she treats children, adolescents, and adults who have experienced various forms of maltreatment as well as providing evidence-based treatment to adults experiencing emotional regulation and interpersonal difficulties.

Dr. Liebert has co-led a treatment group for adolescents adjudicated for a sexual offense(s) through the WI Department of Corrections, Division of Juvenile Corrections.  As part of her postdoctoral fellowship at the Audrey Hepburn Children’s House at Hackensack University Medical Center, Dr. Liebert co-lead a DBT skills group for adults and treated adults who had been mandated to receive therapeutic services.  Dr. Liebert has also provided therapeutic services on adolescent inpatient units, and in community-based mental health clinics to clients throughout the lifespan.  Dr. Liebert has completed risk assessments as related to sexual and general recidivism, administered, and psychological testing batteries during her tenure at the Department of Corrections.  In addition, she has conducted evaluations to determine Competence to Stand Trial, Parental Fitness, and psychosocial functioning during her time at Boston Juvenile Court Clinic.

Dr. Liebert is a faculty member at Montclair State University where she teaches a variety of graduate-level courses and is a member of the University’s initiative to raise awareness end human trafficking at a local and national level. Dr. Liebert is a member of the American Psychological Association and the American Psychology- Law Society.
