Jennifer Pellegrino is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with Empire State Forensics since October 2015. Her responsibilities include the evaluation and treatment of adult and adolescent males and females who have a history of sexually inappropriate and illegal behavior. Ms. Pellegrino works with both mandated and voluntary clients. She provides individual, group, and family treatment. In addition to treatment, Ms. Pellegrino conducts psychosexual risk evaluations and mental health evaluations. She is a trained administrator of various risk assessment instruments such as the Static – 99-R, Stable 2007, and Acute 2007. She is trained to administer the Abel VRT.

Ms. Pellegrino has experience working with males and females who have engaged in problematic sexual behavior since 2009. Her prior work experience includes working as an Assistant Director of an outpatient mental health clinic licensed by The Office of Mental Health specializing in the treatment of perpetrators of intimate aggression. She provided both mandated and voluntary treatment in the form of individual sessions, groups, couples therapy, and family reunification.  Ms. Pellegrino has also been responsible for managing the services for individuals who have been civilly committed and are receiving Strict and Intensive Supervision and Treatment. In addition to her clinical experience, she has taught at Baruch College as an Adjunct Professor of Psychology for two years. Ms. Pellegrino has also worked in the field of mental health with child victims of sexual exploitation/trafficking, and those who are at risk of becoming victim to child exploitation/trafficking.

Ms. Pellegrino is currently training to be a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist through the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals, hoping to be certified in 2024.

Ms. Pellegrino graduated from Iona College in 2009 with a MA in Mental Health Counseling, and received her NYS LMHC license shortly thereafter.

Ms. Pellegrino is a member in good standing of National ATSA and the NYS Chapter of ATSA.
